Confusion over Governor’s assertion; Attacks by the opposition, but by the rulers

Mumbai : Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s assertion about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is echoing throughout the state. On Sunday, Mahavikas Aghadi leaders lashed out at Koshyari and demanded his ouster. Meanwhile, leaders of the ruling BJP, together with the Deputy Chief Minister, tried to sum up the Governor’s assertion by saying it was distorted.

Senior NCP chief Ajit Pawar expressed his anger in these phrases, “If Koshyari doesn’t think about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj even after serving as the Governor of Maharashtra for 3 years, then it’s time to severely rethink staying on this put up”.
